(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Sioux Falls Canaries baseball organization is partnering with Smithfield Foods. Smithfield will now hold the naming rights at Sioux Falls Stadium, or what fans call the birdcage. The partnership announcement comes just two weeks after it was discovered the Canaries would not be a part of the new Riverline District and getting a new stadium in downtown. However, Canaries President Brian Jamros believes the partnership will be mutually beneficial with over three-thousand Smithfield employees in the area. Jamros says they will be adding Smithfield Sundays this season.
