(Sioux Falls, SD) — There’s new details from the fiery scene on Christmas Eve at a busy street in central Sioux Falls. The intersection of 12th Street and Western Avenue near the Paradise Casino was briefly closed down Tuesday because of a truck on fire. SFPD says a highway patrol trooper tried to pull over a white SUV. The driver took off instead of stopping and crashed into the pickup a few blocks later. The driver of the truck was able to get out with only minor burns. Several Sioux Falls first responders were on scene trying to put the fire out. A traffic light also caught fire. Police are still trying to track down the driver of the white SUV who fled the scene.
