(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man who killed his eight-week-old son is going to prison for a long time. Dylan Castimore was sentenced to 90 years on Friday, with the judge stopping just short of a life sentence. He was initially looking at 65 years in exchange for pleading guilty to one count of child abuse and one count of first-degree manslaughter for 2021 death of baby Daxton. Police say the baby boy suffered skull fractures, bruising and broken bones when he was left alone with his father in a Sioux Falls apartment. Multiple emergency service providers took to the stand during Castimore’s trial to explain the severity of Daxton’s injuries.
