Sioux Falls Receiving $14M For Workforce Housing

(Sioux Falls, SD) — The city of Sioux Falls is getting 14-million dollars from South Dakota’s Housing Infrastructure Financing Program. State lawmakers has put two-hundred million into that program with the hopes of creating more workforce housing in communities accros the state. Sioux Falls Housing Development Manager, Logan Penfield, says the 14 million will be put right to use, doubling the amount of developable land in western Sioux Falls. He adds roughly 11-hundred total units between multifamily and single family units are projected to go up over the next five years.
