Sioux Falls School district Asking Gymnastics Plaintiffs To Pay $92K

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Lawyers for the Sioux Falls School District want families involved in the gymnastics lawsuit to pay 92-thousand dollars. It’s the cost of the 2023-24 season which wouldn’t have happened if not for the lawsuit. The families filed the suit earlier this year claiming the district violated Title Nine when it cut gymnastics from its budget in April. A judge ruled that the district must have a gymnastics season and cannot sell the equipment since the lawsuit is still making its way through courts.
