(Sioux Falls, SD) — A man is in custody after a standoff with law enforcement in central Sioux Falls. The suspect had a warrant out for his arrest and threatened officers with a gun. It happened around 11:30 a.m. in the area of 17th Street and Duluth Avenue, forcing street closures there and local Lowell Elementary to shelter in place. Sioux Falls police say SWAT and crisis negotiators did reach a peaceful resolution as the suspect was eventually arrested by the Marshals.
