Sioux Falls Woman Stuck In Mexico

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A South Dakota woman says she’s stuck in Mexico. Joni from Sioux Falls claims doctors there won’t help her after she hurt her back while vacationing in Cancun. She’s been in the hospital since Thursday. The doctors are allegedly refusing to do surgery until her insurance pays or she pays out of pocket. The woman is warning people to make sure their insurance company will provide coverage if travelling out of the country and a medical emergency arises.
