South Dakota Democrats Uphold Decision To Remove Chair

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Democratic Party is upholding its decision to remove former chair Jennifer Slaight-Hansen. An appeals committee is standing behind the State Central Committee’s August decision, according to a news release Tuesday. New elections for the state party’s chair and vice chair will be held Saturday in Downtown Rapid City. The SDDP appeals committee is the final step in a lengthy removal process, barring any lawsuits or further legal challenges.
