(Colman, SD) — South Dakota law enforcement agencies are pouring in support for Moody County Chief Deputy Ken Prorok. The 51-year-old from Wentworth was killed Friday in a high-speed pursuit. Agencies like the Sioux Falls Police Department and the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office have made support available for grieving officers. The Moody County community is also rallying to support Prorok’s family after a fundraiser was held Monday night at Colman-Egan’s high school basketball games. The suspect in the death, Joseph Hoek of Sioux Falls, is facing one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault that leading to possible life in prison, or even the death penalty, after charges were filed against him Monday.
