South Dakota Likely Not To See Northern Lights After Previous Reports

(Pierre, SD) — Despite initial reports, there most likely won’t be any solar storms or northern lights visible Wednesday and Thursday. The University of Alaska Fairbanks Geographical Institute published an early prediction that the aurora borealis would be visible in 17 states last weekend. But local experts are saying the possibility is very slim. Even if it happens, the forecast for the next few days consists of cloudy skies and storms, making them hard to see.
