South Dakota ‘Noncitizen’ Voter Roll Scratch Raising Questions

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Questions are mounting over the 273 so-called ‘non-citizens’ being purged from South Dakota voter rolls. It comes less than a month before the General Election. Minnehaha County Auditor Leah Anderson confirms the list included 112 people registered in the county. She has contacted Pierre but says communication with the Secretary of State is limited and the office is not accepting her calls. Meanwhile, the ACLU of South Dakota says the state may have violated federal voting laws by stripping voting rights from naturalized citizens due to outdated data.
