Southeastern South Dakota Sees More Visitors

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s efforts to bring more tourism to the state appear to be paying off, according to a new report. More than 14-million visitors spent time in the state in 2022, with some of the strongest numbers are in the southeastern part of the state. The area saw one-point-eight-six billion in visitor spending, edging out one-point-eight-one billion in the Black Hills. According to Experience Sioux Falls, Falls Park pulled in just under a half million visitors in 2022. Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa and Florida are said to be the top ranked homes for out-of-state visitors at the park.
