(Pierre, SD) — The state’s district attorney says beware of scammers if you’ve been impacted by flooding. South Dakota DA Marty Jackley says these are times when scam artists prey on those dealing with natural disasters. He says they’ll try to take advantage of South Dakotans’ generosity and say anything to convince you to give them money. Jackley’s advice to residents is to work only with contractors and charities that they know. If you think you’ve been the victim of scam, head to the website consumer.sd.gov.
