(Sioux Falls, SD) — The childcare crisis is getting a major boost of relief with state funding. The South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development will use more than 284-thousand dollars as part of a community-based grant toward providing more childcare options in the Sioux Falls area. Multiple local organizations have announced a partnership to address ongoing childcare issues. This new initiative for additional childcare providers in the Sioux Falls area will also offer training so those interested are properly prepared, as well as more support for existing services. The GOED money will also finance a childcare software platform from the Helpline Center.
