State Leaders Visit McCook Lake After Flood Damage

(North Sioux City, SD) — Governor Noem and state leaders are getting a scope on the extensive flood damage in the McCook Lake area. Noem was accompanied on a visit yesterday by a FEMA administrator and the Union County Emergency Manager Jason Wescott. Wescott said the ground is becoming more unsecure, and he’s worried about collapses. Senator Mike Rounds also surveyed the devastation in the southeastern South Dakota yesterday.
