(Sioux Falls, SD) — A group against a prison expansion project in Lincoln County are making their voices heard. Members of the Neighbors Opposing Prison Expansion filled the courtroom and an overflow room in Canton Monday. They went to hear if the state of South Dakota will dismiss their lawsuit. Members of NOPE believe the state can choose a better alternative location and want to know why it chose Lincoln County. The judge in the case says the ruling wasn’t going to be made Monday but she’ll listen to both sides before making a decision shortly.
