(Pierre, SD) — Strong winds are going to be picking up overnight into Saturday across South Dakota. It comes after snowy weather showered several inches in parts of the state this week. Strong winds will pick up out of the north later this afternoon. These strong winds will linger through Saturday and into Sunday morning. Winds gusts over 35 miles an hour are expected in Sioux Falls, Watertown, Aberdeen and Mobridge. Officials are warning of blowing snow that can reduce visibility and create slick roads and sidewalks.
