(Sioux Falls, SD) — Democrat Erik Muckey is declared the winner of the District 15 second house seat after a recount. The two-day recount wrapped up on Thursday with Muckey beating Republican Joni Tschetter by just nine votes, 43-hundred-65 to 43-hundred-56. Tschetter had requested the recount when the first tally showed her losing by only seven votes. This was the only race in the state legislature that went to a recount.
