(Sturgis, SD) — A man is in custody after an alleged assault and police standoff in Sturgis. The Meade County Sheriff’s Office says Daniel O’Crotty surrendered after several hours of negotiations. The MCSO says it made contact with O’Crotty after investigating an assault that happened earlier in the morning. He’s facing several charges including aggravated assault, domestic violence and false imprisonment.
