Summer Nights in Rapid City

The future of Summer Nights in Rapid City is closer to being decided. On Wednesday, the city’s Legal and Finance Committee voted unanimously to recommend keeping the event downtown for the 2025 season.

Event organizers asked for one more year in the current location to work with Parks and Rec on finding a new spot. Local business owners like Justin Warner, co-owner of Bokujo Ramen, expressed optimism, saying the plan is on track to reduce downtown traffic issues while securing a long-term home for Summer Nights.

The full Rapid City Council will make the final decision at their meeting on Monday.
