(Aberdeen, SD) — One man is now facing attempted murder charges, and two others have been arrested after a shooting near an Aberdeen elementary school this week. It happened Tuesday on the eastern side of the city just a couple blocks from O.M. Tiffany Elementary School. Police say 20-year-old Jose Rivero is being charged with attempted murder and burglary. Yormelis Terrero faces charges of aiding and abetting murder and accessory to attempted murder. Alfredo Matos is charged with burglary. Police were called to a house on Congress Street around 11 a.m. after shots were fired. Two people were hit and taken to the hospital. It’s still unclear who was shot and their current conditions at this time.
