Travel South Dakota Gives Super Bowl Ad Report

(Pierre, SD) — The numbers are in from Travel South Dakota’s Super Bowl ad. According to the state’s tourism department, it was seen by over five million people in the first two days it aired. Nearly two million dollars was the final cost. The ad featured the one-hit wonder “Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” by Nine Days remixed into “Story of a State” for South Dakota. It will continue to run in seven regions, including Omaha, Kansas City and Denver until the end of February. A representative from Travel South Dakota says that their website traffic is up by 456 percent from this time last year.
