(Sioux Falls, SD) — A former South Dakota treatment counselor is facing embezzlement charges. Earvin Archambeau worked at the The Arch, a residential treatment facility, for five years. Court documents say he was promoted in January 2023 to a role where he was responsible for placing residents’ money into a bank account for later use.
A tip in October led investigators to find that more than 18-thosuand dollars from clients did not make it to the bank and because of this he was terminated from his role. When officials contacted Archambeau, he reportedly took responsibility for the missing funds and has a initial court hearing scheduled for April 8th in Minnehaha County.
