(Pierre, SD) — A majority of South Dakota’s Native tribes are turning against Governor Noem because of her comments about their kids. Tribal leaders have recently voiced their resentment over the Republican’s claims that tribal children have no hope or parental involvement. This, along with other cited reasons, has led to Native tribes in the state banning the governor from their lands in a matter of months. Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal member Tyler Rambeau said this week that they are all looking for a serious apology. Noem dodged questions from reporters about whether she would issue one at her news conference in Pierre last Friday.
