(Hutchinson County, SD) — Two people are dead after a crash in Hutchinson County yesterday. According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a pickup collided with a semi. It happened south of Freeman, where Highway 81 meets Highway 18. The pickup reportedly failed to stop at the intersection of the highways and collided with the semi. Both the driver and the 11-year-old passenger in the pickup were killed. Authorities say no one was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation.
