(Undated) — Two South Dakota law enforcement officers are expected to be okay after two separate crashes yesterday. In Jackson County, a deputy was rear-ended by an SUV on I-90, crushing the tailgate to the rear wheel. A trooper in Union County was also rear-ended on I-29 while carrying out a traffic stop. According to South Dakota DPS, a 54-year-old Iowa man is now facing charges for failing to move over. The trooper was treated and released from a Vermillion hospital. Neither of the other drivers were hurt. Attorney General Marty Jackley and state law enforcement are urging drivers to pay attention to the road after Tuesday’s crashes.
