(Pierre, SD) — There’s an update on the state investigation into calls received by signers of the abortion rights ballot initiative petition. Attorney General Marty Jackley announced yesterday there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing. The calls came from members with the South Dakota Petition Integrity, a newly formed PAC. This comes after several South Dakotans say they received calls from someone claiming to be a volunteer with the Secretary of State’s Office questioning why they signed the “Restore Roe” petition. It would put abortion rights issue on the November ballot.
