(Pierre, SD) — Voters have rejected Initiated Measure 29, which means recreational marijuana will remain illegal in the state. The measure would’ve allowed South Dakota citizens 21-years-old or older to use, grow, or distribute marijuana up to two ounces. The measure was the third attempt to legalize the recreational use of the drug in recent years.
