Warmer Weekend Coming Before Highs Drop Next Week

(Undated) — It’s going to be a bit of a rollercoaster for South Dakota weather over the next week. Dense fog and freezing fog looming in some areas is expected to disperse by the end of today. A Dense Fog Advisory has been extended for Sioux Falls and surrounding areas until noon, so any morning drivers in these southeastern parts are urged to use caution. The eastern side of the state is also experiencing winds up to 20 miles an hour or so coming from the south today. But then temps are expected to trend warmer into the weekend with highs in the upper 30s and 40s for most of South Dakota. Monday may bring some snow and rain before temps dip back down into the 20s through New Years next week.
