(Pierre, SD) — The latest winter storm is hitting South Dakota and forcing the closure of several schools today. School districts including Sioux Falls, Tea Area, Brandon Valley, Lennox and Yankton are all going to be closed. The snow began to develop overnight with higher amounts — possibly five to 10 inches — in the central and southeastern part of the state. This storm is forecasted to pass by Tuesday morning, but there’s expected to be more chances for snow by Wednesday. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changing road conditions in affected areas.
