Woman Dead After Madison House Fire

(Madison, SD) — A woman is dead after a house fire in Madison on Monday night. The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived to the home on Harth Avenue. Nichelle Reed says she and her husband scrambled to get their four kids out, but her friend who was living with them didn’t make it out. Madison Volunteer Fire Department Chief Randy Minnaert says there’s still much to learn about what caused the house fire on Harth Avenue. The family has been displaced with the house completely destroyed.
