Bold Strategy Pays Off In Wild Win Over Predators

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild used a daring strategy to beat the Nashville Predators 4-3 in overtime at the Xcel Energy Center. The Wild pulled their goalie at the end of the extra period to gain another attacker, meaning they would forfeit the overtime point if Nashville scored. However, Matt Boldy lit the lamp for Minnesota to give the team two points. Jonas Brodin, Kirill Kaprizov, and Ryan Hartman also lit the lamp in the victory. The Wild are in fifth place in the Central Division with 69 points and a 31-27-and-7 record. Minnesota is just six points back of Vegas for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Wild host the Coyotes tomorrow night.
