(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins want Byron Buxton back in center field next year. The Twins slugger had his second knee surgery in as many years over the weekend. The team hopes that the surgery will eliminate the tendinitis that limited Buxton to being used solely as a designated hitter in 2023. Buxton hit just .207 with 17 home runs and 42 RBI in 85 games with the Twins last year. Additionally, Twins first baseman Alex Kirilloff will have surgery on his shoulder next week.
