(Undated) — Two more programs punched their ticket to the College Football Playoff semifinals on New Year’s Day. Texas held off Arizona State for a 39-31 double-overtime victory in the Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Elsewhere, Ohio State put together a dominant showing in a 41-21 takedown of Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Texas and Ohio State will now square off in the Cotton Bowl Classic on January 10th. The action continues on Thursday with one playoff matchup and a bowl game. Notre Dame will challenge Georgia in the Sugar Bowl for a spot in the semifinals against Penn State. Later in the day, Number-14 Ole Miss takes on Duke in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
