Gray, Lopez Gear Up For All-Star Game; Twins Draft Eight More Players

(Seattle, WA) — A pair of Twins pitchers are enjoying the All-Star Game festivities in Seattle. Sonny Gray and Pablo Lopez are both on the roster for the American League in the All-Star Game today.

Gray is making his third appearance, while Lopez is on the team for the first time in his career. Gray wrapped up the first half of the season with a 4-and-3 record and a 2.89 ERA in 18 starts, and Lopez is 5-and-5 with a 3.89 ERA in 111 innings. The All-Star Game gets underway at 7:00PM tonight.

Meantime, the Twins concluded day two of the 2023 MLB Draft with eight more players in their system. The team selected high school outfielder Brandon Winokur in the third round, Southern Mississippi pitcher Tanner Hall in the fourth round, and high school pitcher Dylan Questad in the fifth. The Twins added a shortstop and four more pitchers in rounds six through ten. The MLB Draft continues today.
