Iowa’s Cooper DeJean Cleared For Football Activities

(Iowa City, IA) — One of the top defensive back prospects has been cleared for football activities. Iowa’s Cooper DeJean told NFL teams that he’s fully recovered from a fractured fibula and he’ll hold an individual workout next Monday. The Odebolt, Iowa native attended the scouting combine last month and said teams viewed him as an option at both cornerback and safety. ESPN’s Mel Kiper ranks the Hawkeye as the 21st overall draft prospect. That pick is currently held by the Miami Dolphins, while the Pittsburgh Steelers own the pick before it and the Philadelphia Eagles select right after.
