(Raleigh, NC) — Kirill Kaprizov scored a hat trick as the Minnesota Wild beat the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 at PNC Arena. Kaprizov tied the game with a goal in the first period, and he knocked in a go-ahead goal in the second. After Michael Bunting lit the lamp for Carolina in the middle of the third, Joel Eriksson Ek scored the game-winner for Minnesota. Kaprizov and Jake Middleton both scored empty-netters to put the game away. Minnesota has won its last two games. The Wild are in seventh place in the Central Division with 45 points and a 20-21-and-5 record. Minnesota hosts Washington tomorrow night.
