MLB Wild Card Round Recap

(Undated) — The first day of the MLB postseason is in the books. The Texas Rangers began the day with a four-nothing shutout win over the Tampa Bay Rays in front of the smallest playoff audience since the 1919 World Series. Minnesota designated hitter Royce Lewis belted two home runs to help the Twins snap an 18-game playoff losing skid with a three-one win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The Arizona Diamondbacks rallied from an early three-run deficit to down the Brewers six-three in Milwaukee. The Philadelphia Phillies began their National League title defense by cruising to a four-one win over the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park. Wild Card round action continues on Wednesday with the Diamondbacks, Phillies, Rangers and Twins all having a chance to clinch their spot in the Division Series this weekend.
