(Kansas City, MO) — The first round of the 2023 NFL Draft saw 31 new playmakers enter into the league. The Carolina Panthers kicked things off by selecting Alabama quarterback Bryce Young with the first overall pick. The Texans then went back-to-back, selecting Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud second overall and Alabama outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr. third. The Colts took Florida QB Anthony Richardson fourth while Seattle chose Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon to round out the top five.
Top prospects remaining on the board include Kentucky Quarterback Will Levis, Notre Dame Tight End Michael Mayer, Penn State Cornerback Joey Porter Jr., Tennessee Quarterback Hendon Hooker and Alabama Safety Brian Branch. South Dakota State Tight End Tucker Kraft is projected to be selected sometime during rounds two or three on Friday.
