NFL Legal Tampering Day One Recap

(Undated) — It was a wild first day of legal tampering in the NFL with the new league year right around the corner. The Falcons are making a splash in free agency after agreeing to a four-year, 180-million-dollar contract with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins. The deal has 100-million-dollars in guaranteed money. The Giants were also one of the more active teams in the league. The G-Men acquired edge rusher Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers and are expected to sign him to a five-year extension. The NFC East was full of movement with former Giants running back Saquon Barkley agreeing to a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Washington Commanders are also in agreement on a two-year deal with former Chargers back Austin Ekeler. Josh Jacobs and D’Andre Swift have also found new homes.
