(Green Bay, WI) — The Green Bay Packers are giving a timeframe to decide if their new quarterback is worth investing in. Team president Mark Murphy told the media on Monday that Jordan Love will get “at least” a half a season to prove himself. Murphy compared the first year of Aaron Rodgers who took over at quarterback for Brett Favre and said, “Even though we ended up with a losing record that year… we saw enough of Aaron to know we had something special.” The Pack extended Rodgers midway through his first season as a starter and finished with over four-thousand yards to go with 28 touchdowns. Love was extended in the offseason with a contract that runs through 2024. The Utah State gunslinger was selected 26th overall by Green Bay in the 2020 draft.
