Padres Trade Juan Soto To Yankees

(Undated) — The Yankees are making a blockbuster deal to acquire a star from the Padres. The Bronx Bombers are acquiring outfielder Juan Soto from San Diego. The deal comes less than a year and a half after the 25-year-old was traded from the Nationals to the Padres. San Diego is also sending outfielder Trent Grisham to the Yanks in exchange for pitchers Michael King, Drew Thorpe, Jhony Brito, Randy Vasquez and catcher Kyle Higashioka. Soto finished last season batting .275 with 35 home runs and 109 RBI, and was a key piece of the 2019 World Series championship roster with the Nats. He is also entering the final year before free agency.
