Report: Chiefs Sign Rugby Star Louis Rees-Zammit

(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs are officially adding an international rugby star to their roster. ESPN reports that Kansas City is signing European rugby player Louis Rees-Zammit as a new offensive weapon. The expectation is for the Chiefs to look at Rees-Zammit at running back and perhaps wide receiver. The 23-year-old participated in the NFL’s International Pathway pro day last week after announcing in January that he was attempting to play in the NFL. This season will mark the first time that each team will have a 17th roster spot on the practice squad specifically available for an international player.
