(Undated) — The two remaining Pac-12 schools, Oregon State and Washington State, could be playing an independent football schedule in 2025. According to ESPN, the Pac-12 and Mountain West did not reach a deal before Sunday’s deadline to extend their football scheduling agreement past this season. The two conferences could still come together to get a deal done but ESPN reports they are far apart. The 12 Mountain West football teams are playing seven conference games this season with a game against either Oregon State or Washington State as well. The Beavers and Cougars will play in the West Coast Conference for the next two years in the majority of their non-football sports.
