Shohei Ohtani Signs With Dodgers

(Los Angeles, CA) — The biggest Major League Baseball free agent is staying in Los Angeles, but he’s swapping his halo for Dodger blue. Shohei Ohtani announced the move on Saturday via Instagram. He’s signed a ten-year contract worth 700-million-dollars with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 29-year-old pitcher-slash-designated hitter from Japan has spent his first six years in the Majors with the Los Angeles Angels, winning American League MVP honors in 2021 and again this past season. In 2023, Ohtani belted 44 home runs, while posting a ten-and-five record on the mound with a three-point-one-four earned run average.
