Simone Biles Returns To Gymnastics Competition

(Hoffman Estates, IL) — Simone Biles is back. The Olympic champion made her return to competitive gymnastics on Saturday in the US Classic in Illinois. In her first competition since 2021, Biles performed in four events and landed the highest overall score of the night. She beat several of her former Olympic teammates and easily qualified for nationals later this month. Her return comes after her shocking departure from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, where Biles said she experienced a mental block that stopped her from competing.
