South Dakota State Wins FCS Championship for Second Straight Year

(Frisco, TX) — The South Dakota State University Jackrabbits are National Champions for the second straight season.

The Jacks defeated Montana in the FCS Championship game on Sunday by a final score of 23-3. The Jackrabbits led by just four at halftime, but Mark Gronowski had a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the third quarter to help put the game away. South Dakota State held Montana to just 259 yards of total offense. Gronowski passed for 175 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, while Isaiah Davis rushed for 87 yards and a score on the ground.

The win was South Dakota State’s second FCS title in program history. Several SDSU fans made the trip down south to show support for the team as it closed out another historic season. The Jackrabbits have now won 29 games in a row. The Jacks finish the season a perfect 15-0.
