(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season after falling to the New Orleans Pelicans 117-106 at the Target Center last night. The game was close through one quarter before New Orleans outscored Minnesota by 18 combined points in the second and third. Minnesota trailed by as many as 24 in the losing effort. Anthony Edwards poured in 35 points in the losing effort, while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 22. Minnesota still leads the Western Conference at 24-and-9. They visit the Rockets tomorrow night.
