Twins Drop First Game Of Doubleheader; Come Back To Beat White Sox In Game Two

(Chicago, IL) — The Minnesota Twins had just six hits during a 3-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox in game one of their doubleheader at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Twins gave up a two-run home run to Luis Robert Jr. in the bottom of the sixth and trailed for the rest of the game. Matt Wallner homered in the losing effort, while Bailey Ober was charged with his fifth loss after surrendering three runs on four hits in six innings.

In game two, the Twins overcame a two-run deficit during a 3-2 win over the White Sox. The Twins trailed 2-0 before Brooks Lee and Carlos Correa hit back-to-back home runs to tie the game. Ryan Jeffers had a go-ahead single in the seventh, and Steven Okert picked up his third win in relief.

The Twins have won their last six series and are in second place in the AL Central at 53-and-40. Minnesota visits San Francisco tomorrow night.
