Twins Drop Series Opener To Braves

(Atlanta, GA) — The Twins gave up three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning during a 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Joey Gallo gave the Twins a 1-0 lead in the second inning with his 13th home run of the season, but the Braves tied the game in the fourth. The game was still tied at one in the seventh before Marcell Ozuna and Ronald Acuna Jr. both went deep to give Atlanta the lead for good. Sonny Gray was charged with his second loss after allowing three runs in six-and-two-thirds innings. Minnesota remains in first place in the AL Central at 40-and-40. Joe Ryan starts for the Twins against Atlanta tonight.
